MACC probing MyKiosk project over tender process
MACC has launched an investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities involving the tender process of the MyKiosk project under the Housing and Local Government Ministry.
MACC Investigation Division senior director Zainul Darus said that the commission had launched a preliminary investigation into the matter following a complaint lodged by a political party.

“The Governance Investigation Division has also commenced a parallel investigation into the project.
“Apart from the ministry, which has submitted a full report on the tender process and award, several other involved parties have also provided documents related to the project,” he said in a statement today.
“The investigation is being conducted under the provisions of the MACC Act 2009,” he added.

In May, the ministry submitted documents related to the MyKiosk project to the graftbusters, demonstrating the ministry’s commitment to transparency and integrity in the project.
According to the ministry, all procurement and contractor appointments for MyKiosk were carried out by 133 local authorities via open quotation processes.
