What happened to BN comradeship, Ong?

MCA has always labelled Barisan Alternatif as a "marriage of convenience" and yet its youth chief Ong Kee Tiat asked the authorities to disallow the Malay unity rally organised by Umno members ([#1]MCA Youth: Do not allow BBM's Sunday rally[/#], Feb 2). Aren't Umno and MCA members of the same coalition? So why are both these parties acting inconsistently?
Or is he giving reasons for Umno to accuse that the Chinese are against Malay unity? Back in 1987, when Dr Mahathir Mohamad's leadership was threatened, Umno and MCA appeared to be confronting each other. As a result of the tense situation created by MCA and Umno, opposition, NGO and community leaders were detained under Operasi Lalang.
I urge Ong and his Umno counterparts to end this sandiwara. Don't try to ridicule the memory and intelligence of Malaysians.
