The deaths of our men will not deter us from hunting them down to every corner of the country, declared Bukit Aman CID chief Christopher Wan Soo Kee.
The deaths of our men will not deter us from hunting them down to every corner of the country, declared Bukit Aman CID chief Christopher Wan Soo Kee.
Policemen are sad with this senseless killings of their colleagues but they will soldier on to maintain peace and security for all citizens, he told reporters at the crime scene in Sungai Buloh late last night.
According to Bernama, Wan said police investigation will involve the entire Bukit Aman police force, Selangor police and Kuala Lumpur police.
He said police believed more than two suspects were involved in the shooting.
Wan also disclosed that the National Registration Department (NRD) is helping to identify the suspects who killed two policemen in a shooting incident on Thursday.
Police's forensic unit, he said, found several finger prints in their house but had yet to identify the suspects.
"There were many finger prints but it is difficult for us to verify their identities. That is why we need help from the NRD," Wan explained.
Woman among four suspects
In the 8.30pm incident at Kampung Desa Aman in Sungai Buloh, L/Cpl Jaya Balan Krishnan from Gombak police and L/Cpl Alageson Malappan from the Kuala Lumpur CID were shot dead when police attempted to raid a double-storey house there being used as a syabu processing laboratory.
Police also found white powder believed to be drugs at the scene of the crime.
"We have yet to ascertain whether the white powder is indeed drugs or not. We will be conducting tests soon," Wan said.
Meanwhile police have some fresh leads about the suspects who gunned down the two cops and injured two others during the drug bust.
Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said initial investigations showed four suspects, including a woman, all from Selangor, were involved.
"We expect to get them soon as they will not be able to escape our dragnet," he said.
