I refer to your story, [#1]Sarawak DAP confident of support on 'quit' decision[/#] (Dec 20). I appeal to the Sarawak DAP and all the other Sarawak Barisan Alternatif components to step back, cool down and put state and national priorities above personal and party politics.

Barisan Nasional stands to gain from BA's bickering. I believe I speak for a lot of Sarawakian voters: We do not want DAP and BA component parties to spilt the crucial votes, like in the last general elections which saw BN getting a clean sweep of the parliamentary seats! This is not what Sarawakian voters want, yet we, the electorate, had to bear the consequences of BA's disunity.

Sarawak DAP can quit BA if it wants to but all we ask of it is, please do not put up candidates or independents to contest for seats as it will spilt the votes.
