Nurul Izzah chairs new think-tank Polity
A new think-tank focusing on economic security called Polity has been established, with PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar as its executive chairperson.
According to a Bernama report, the former Permatang Pauh MP said Polity will be officially introduced to the public during a dinner event on Feb 17.

According to a Bernama report, the former Permatang Pauh MP said Polity will be officially introduced to the public during a dinner event on Feb 17.
The event will be held together with the Social Economic Research Initiative (Seri), of which Nurul Izzah is also its chairperson.
“We work closely with communities to ensure they understand their rights, benefit from effective policies, and access programmes that enhance their quality of life.
“Additionally, we will collaborate with the media to promote our policies and programmes,” she reportedly told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Nurul Izzah said Polity prioritises economic security issues in Malaysia while also aiming to expand its initiatives internationally, especially in Southeast Asia.
According to her, this will be done through programmes on women, peace, and security featuring Thai and Indonesian experts, who will be sharing their insights on fostering safer and more inclusive societies for women.
“In Malaysia, we prioritise economic security because a stable economy is crucial for raising children in a safe and nurturing environment. The crisis in Gaza should inspire us to make a difference,” she reportedly said.
