Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has reminded party members not to participate in a rally scheduled to take place at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya tomorrow.
The deputy prime minister said members who still chose to attend the gathering in support of former premier Najib Abdul Razak would have to bear the risks themselves.
“If individuals attend the solidarity rally, we leave it to them to handle the risks.
“We also hope there are no organisers from any Umno divisions or branches officially involved in the rally,” he told reporters after officiating Kuali Cafe@Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bangi today.

On Jan 3, Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki announced the cancellation of the planned gathering, initially scheduled to take place in Putrajaya.
The cancellation followed an Istana Negara statement that a prisoner must submit pardon or sentence reduction applications to the Pardons Board chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for consideration.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain also warned participants against assembling.
However, PAS, which also planned to mobilise its members and supporters to join the rally, said they are continuing with the gathering.
