All major dailies highlighted the plight of eight-year old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, who has been confirmed to be the dead girl who was found stuffed in a gym bag on Tuesday.

The New Straits Times and the Star reported that the police have proposed a second DNA test to confirm the identity of the girl, as Nurin's parents are adamant that the girl is not their daughter.

Malay newspapers

Berita Harian also reported that the police have proposed a second DNA test to confirm the identity of the dead girl.

Utusan Malaysia headlined the police's statement that they have received tip offs that the murderer of the girl was hiding in Klang Valley.

Chinese newspapers

Oriental Daily reported most fast foods have not provided any label on nutrition content although the Health Ministry had required it on June.

Tamil newspapers

The New Straits Times felt that the Cabinet's decision to postpone e-Kesihatan scheme was very timely. The daily was of the view that it was a bad idea to allow the scheme to proceed in uncertainty.

Utusan Malaysia urged Malaysians to take Nurin's death as an example and to be more careful when it comes to their children so that the brutal death of child is not repeated.

Malaysia Nanban wanted all Malaysians to find ways to stop sexual assaults on young girls.

Tamil Nesan criticized PPP president M Kayveas' statement that Tamil must be made a compulsory language in all national schools.
