A 51-year-old man had enough of his 31-year-old wife's two-timing that he decided to take drastic action.

The husband led a team from the Federal Territory Religious Department to an apartment in Kuala Lumpur recently where they found his wife and another man allegedly committing khalwat (close proximity).

According to Harian Metro, the raiding team, who had been knocking at the door for 20 minutes, began cutting the lock at the entrance when the woman opened the door.

They found the man clad in shorts and T-shirt and the woman in a pair of pyjamas. They were brought to the department for questioning.

Changed behaviour

The husband, known only as Yahya, said he suspected that his wife, an air stewardess, was cheating on him since early last year with a 27-year-old electrician when her behaviour changed.

"We also fought frequently," Yahya said.

He said his four-year marriage became shaky after the appearance of the electrician.

It is learnt that the electrician lived next to the unit and was often seen entering it.

Yahya said he was arrested before when his wife lodged a police report alleging that he had beaten her up.

He added that he moved to Bukit Antarabangsa after the report.
