S'gor working on sustainable mechanism to increase recycling - MB

      BernamaPublished: Oct 21, 2024 1:51 PM

The Selangor government is finalising a sustainable mechanism to increase recycling practices in every neighbourhood in the state, said Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.

He said the current method of discarding solid waste in landfills is no longer sustainable and can pose adverse effects on the environment.

As such, he said there is a need for a shift towards a waste-to-energy system as practised in developed countries.

Amirudin cites need for shift towards waste-to-energy system.
