I would like to congratulate the Immigration Department for letting in another Islamic radical on to our shores on the pretext of furthering his studies at one of our local universities. As if we didn't have enough Malaysian-born radicals who count various 'madrasahs' and universities in Pakistan and the Middle East as their alma maters, now we are allowing foreigners well-known for extremists preaching on to our shores.

I am referring to one Feiz Mohamed who hails from Lebanon and was a former 'iman' in Sydney. He is wanted for questioning by the Lebanese government for his connection to four Australian Muslims arrested in Lebanon last month on alleged terrorism links. Feiz has also produced hate-DVD's urging 'jihadist' murders of non-Muslims and for Muslim children to die for Islam. He is still phoning in his weekly hate messages to Australia from Malaysia.

Although we may not be world-class carmakers or no longer have the highest buildings in the world, at least here's something we can be proud of: we have produced some of the most vile regional terrorists - Noordin Mohamad Top (who is still on the run from police authorities in Indonesia and Malaysia) and the late bomb-maker Azahari Hussein (who was killed in a police ambush in Indonesia) who, together with Jemaah Islamiah, were responsible for some of the most horrific terror attacks and bombings in the region. Earlier on we played hosts to some of the men who went on to attack the World Trade Center on Sept 11.

Yes, let's keep our visa-free travel policy for all and sundry from Muslim countries worldwide. It shouldn't matter if they are willing to preach hatred and resort to violence to advance their ideology. These foreign-born hate-mongers are no threat to Umno (at least that's what our Umnoputeras think).

Perhaps this is what our DPM meant when he made the Freudian slip in calling Malaysia a 'Negara Islam'.
