Anwar Ibrahim is the only leader now who can make positive changes to Malaysia. He not only has the brains but he also has mass support, vision, charisma and direction to lead.

By standing up to Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 1998, he lost everything. We must remember that he was the 'heir to the throne'. But when he decided to stand up alone against Mahathir, he lost his position, his income, his honour, his dignity and was thrown into jail.

He could have just been a 'yes-man' and become prime minister but he chose to stand up for his people after he realised that too many injustices had been done. In the process of standing up for what is right, he was sacrificed.

How many Malaysians, especially those in government today, actually have the courage to stand up to corruption, misuse of government machinery, injustices, murder, rape, etc? Umno has been taking Malaysians for a ride more than half a century now. This madness will never stop. MCA, MIC, PPP and Gerakan adorn the walls of the cabinet like decorations.

Now is the time for reforms. Even in India, the increase in price of a simple vegetable like an onion could bring down governments. Hence, what about greater crimes like we have in Malaysia?

BN has ruled for 50 years now, surely we must give other Malaysian citizens a chance to rule too.
