MACC probes Keluarga Malaysia
In 2022, billboards featuring the Keluarga Malaysia motto - albeit difficult to read due to the questionable design - were seemingly everywhere in the country.
Now, those billboards and other promotional material for the Keluarga Malaysia campaign are the subject of an MACC probe.
The motto's progenitor, former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, is also being investigated.
A highly placed source informed Malaysiakini that the graftbuster was probing elements of corruption in the contracts awarded to promote the Keluarga Malaysia campaign.

Padu launched
The government has opened registration for its Central Database Hub (Padu) - which will be used to fine-tune eligibility and distribution of aid and subsidies.
The registration process initially caused some concern that identity theft could take place.
However, Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli assured that an account registration can't be completed without identity verification - which requires taking pictures of your MyKad and a selfie.
Those locked out of registering an account can also contact Padu's helpdesk to resolve the problem.
As to why most user information is missing despite Padu being touted as a bridge between various agency databases, Rafizi said this is a security feature.
The government's data is being stored on a separate server than the one users access.
He said the data keyed in by users will then be integrated with the secure database, and cross-checked, verified, and updated.

PM hopeful for 2024
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is hopeful that 2024 will usher in a brighter future for the people, with the government focusing on economic development to ensure their wellbeing.
Anwar said the government would remain focused on national economic growth to ease the people’s cost of living, apart from ensuring quality education and healthcare.
Anwar also said the question of unity and security for the people remains a challenge that demands priority attention.
This includes ensuring that constitutional provisions on the position of Islam, the sovereignty of the Malay rulers, bumiputera privileges, and the Malay language are not disturbed, he said.
