Zayn's mom 'immortalises' final outing in Instagram post
The mother of murder victim Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin yesterday posted on Instagram several photos of their family's final outing at One Utama Shopping Complex, just a day before he went missing and was later found dead.
Saying that she wanted to immortalise their last happy moments together through the post, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, accompanied their photos with a heartbreaking caption about their day together.

Saying that she wanted to immortalise their last happy moments together through the post, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, accompanied their photos with a heartbreaking caption about their day together.
"At around this time just last Monday, Dec 4, it was the last time that mommy and daddy got the chance to take 'abang' (Zayn Rayyan) for an outing. Abang and Adik (Zayn's younger brother) really love it when we go jalan-jalan.
"Both of you were so happy when we strolled around the mall. It didn't matter how busy or tired we were, mommy and daddy would always make time to take abang and adik jalan-jalan.
"Abang was so happy during this outing, and so were mommy, daddy and your brother... It never crossed our mind that this day would be our last happy moment together. Let me immortalise our memory here," she said.
Ismanira shared a total of seven photos from the outing, which showed the family spending time together around the shopping complex, including at its indoor 'Rainforest' aquarium area.
The post has since received over 10,000 reactions and hundreds of comments, many expressing their sympathy towards the family and their hopes that Zayn Rayyan's murderer would be caught.
Zayn Rayyan, a six-year-old boy with autism, reportedly went missing on the afternoon of Dec 5. His body was later discovered by a stream about 200m from his home in Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya, about 10pm on Dec 6.
He was initially presumed to have drowned, but police later reclassified the case as murder after a post-mortem carried out by forensics experts revealed that the victim had been strangled.
There were also defensive wounds found on his body, according to police.
Police had since embarked on a massive investigation operation, including mobilising their forensics officers to conduct mass DNA screening to collect samples from Idaman Apartment residents where the victim lived.
According to Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan, police are still working to find more leads into the case.
