The government will top up the pension amount for retired civil servants to ensure it is not less than what is currently received, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

“Although there is a court decision, the government, specifically the Treasury, has decided to top up the amount considered insufficient so that it is not less than the (pension) salary that should be received,” he said.

      He said this...

This despite court decision to declare pension act amendment null and void.

There must be a ceiling cap for goverment pensioners. some pensioners are earning as must as 10K a month the cap must be 5-6K a month is more then comfortable for decent living in Malaysia. Now there must be blanket pension for all Malaysians start at 70 years of age it stead of giving brim and all the rubbish incentives. imagine a private person who work as a labourer with a salary of 1K has no means of living, by the time he/she reaches 70 his EPF will run our, a mere 500 is more than enough to go by each month. the movement should start this asap.
