Plot twist: Now Wahab claims sexual harassment from Agus

Community Communications Department (J-Kom) officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, 33, who is at the heart of a scandal involving a video that has gone viral, now claims he was sexually harassed.

Wahab's police report yesterday reportedly stated he faced sexual harassment by J-Kom former director-general Mohammad Agus Yusoff.

Several media outlets reported that the police are investigating the allegation.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain reportedly said the police are investigating the claims.

“Wahab (above) claims the incident occurred on Oct 21 at a hotel in Bintulu.

“The police have opened an investigation under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging modesty and Section 377D for the offence of committing an indecent act," said Razarudin.

The recent allegation was not shared by Wahab during his joint press conference with Agus on Nov 17.

During the press conference, Wahab claimed that he was made a scapegoat to frame his former superior for certain purposes.

According to him, he received instructions from an individual who also served in J-KOM, known as “Mr H”, to do so.

Wahab also claimed that the audio in the video clip was edited.

Clearing his name

The video featured two men engaging in a flirtatious conversation, but Wahab had claimed during the press conference that the original video that he recorded had no audio.

Yesterday, however, Wahab went to the Kajang district police headquarters with his lawyer Faizal Abd Rahman to file a police report, claiming that his actions were to clear his name following the release of the video.

Wahab also admitted that he was under pressure due to the controversy involving him and Agus.

Meanwhile, Razarudin said Wahab came forward to make a police report to protect himself and to deny involvement in a plot to bring down and fabricate stories against Agus.

He said the police are still investigating this case and will call several individuals to record their statements.
