Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has remained coy on when he will perform a much-anticipated cabinet reshuffle.
"Why January and not December?" he asked when met by reporters in Putrajaya last night.
Anwar was asked to respond to speculations by panellists on ‘Keluar Sekejap’ talk show that the cabinet reshuffle will be held in January next year.
Former Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming also mooted that Anwar should appoint a second finance minister and named 15 possible candidates.
Currently, Anwar is also in charge of the Finance Ministry and handling matters related to Federal Territories.
There has been a vacancy in Anwar's cabinet for the position of domestic trade and costs of living minister since the passing of Salahuddin Ayub on July 23.
Salahuddin's duties are currently being handled by Special Functions Minister Armizan Mohd Ali.
Anwar's cabinet was formed on Dec 2 last year.
