      COMMENT | Former Umno leader Khairy Jamaluddin’s disclosure on the time bomb posed by the nation’s civil service pension system deserves commendation.

      It also needs action by the present sitting Parliament to defuse the bomb before it blows up the nation’s finances and economy.

      Missing from his commentary is a longue duree approach to the civil service so as to identify the forces that shaped it and understand what stands in the way of reform or meaningful change...
