Team Dominic dominates Gerakan election

Gerakan polls results announced today saw party president Dominic Lau, deputy president Oh Tong Keong and all three incumbent vice-presidents reelected to their posts for the 2023-2026 term.
Now in his second term, Lau (above, second from left), garnered 429 votes out of 1,130 votes cast or 38 percent, making him the party's first minority president.
The closest competitor was Federal Territories Gerakan chairperson Lau Hoi Keong, who trailed by 94 votes in the four-way contest.
In his speech after being declared the winner, Lau, who thanked all party members, said the time has come for all to unite as a team to win the state elections.
"I hope we can set aside all and any baseless allegations.
"What is most important is for us to come together as a team to face the elections, help our party 'pecah telur' (get one seat) and rise again," said Lau in reference to Gerakan's total wipeout in Parliament and state levels, starting from the 2018 general elections.
The other candidates for the presidency were Malacca Gerakan chief Micheal Gan and former secretary-general Liang Teck Meng.
Meanwhile, Lau's running mate Oh did better in the deputy president race, winning 546 votes or 48.3 percent of the votes cast.
The three vice presidents are Baljit Singh, Koo Shiaw Lee and Alexander Lo Su Hyen.
The 18 central committee members elected are Woo Cheong Yuen, Hng Chee Wey, Tan Lee Ngee, Loh Kah Yong, Tan Po Kiat, Ch’ng Boon Chye, Sin Koon Yen, Chandra Balabedha, Chai Ko Thing, Jimmy Chew Jyh Gang, Dennis Gau Thau Onn, Lee Boon Shian, Tan Chin Hock, Syed Nor Azman Syed Daros, Ooi Pei Nar, Puvaniten M Helan Govan, Teoh Chin Wan and Gan Kim Keng.
Chung Mon Sie and Wong Chia Zhen won the Women’s and Youth wings’ top posts uncontested.

Total votes are 1130, meaning, Gerakan has only 1130 members. Congrats Dominic, you are re-elected as the president of some mosquito party. You are just simply irrelevant and a total disgrace.
