COMMENT | First off, the political mainstream in this country does not want this youth party to succeed. Just like they do not want a party like PSM to succeed.

This is not really a major problem if you really think about it. Just because entrenched political interests do not want you to succeed, the vox populi will still be heard at the ballot box, and those entrenched interests can be shown the door, like in many parts of the world.

No, Muda’s problem is something more. Something deeper. Harapan’s base fall into two camps, those that want an alternative and those who fear for whatever reason, Muda would disrupt the status quo and the “green wave” will drown us in a theocracy.

This is not really a major hurdle either. Enthusiasm builds momentum, especially in urban areas.
