Salahuddin: Retaining poultry subsidies a proactive move

The government’s effort to continue the subsidies and price control for chicken and eggs proves that the proactive measures taken are timely to help the people, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Salahuddin Ayub.
He said although the government has to bear a subsidy cost of RM200 million a month, it needs to be done to ensure that the people’s welfare continues to be protected, especially concerning basic needs...
This comes after Putrajaya's U-turn on removing poultry subsidies by July 1.
