Dr Mahathir Mohamad openly criticise the government by labelling it among other things "rotten". The highly esteemed former prime minister said not all was well and that the people of Ijok must speak out through the ballot box.

This is an open declaration against the BN and the Umno-led government. In the past, with lesser mortals, Umno ministers and BN leaders would have fallen over each other to condemn such open criticism by one of their own.

I am surprised that no disciplinary action has been taken nor even a word spoken against an Umno member who has called on the Ijok people to vote anyone else besides the incumbent. This to show that the government-of-the-day is "rotten" and "half passed six".

What else must he say or do to invoke disciplinary action? Perhaps his years of service is taken into consideration and he is therefore allowed to speak evil against the Umno leadership.
