Former Meru assemblyperson Dr Abd Rani Osman passed away this morning.

The 65-year-old former PAS Selangor commissioner’s death was notified through the party’s state arm via Facebook today.

“His passing (away) is greatly felt by us all due to his efforts and sacrifices to the people of Selangor throughout his service.

“May his family be patient and strong in facing this loss and we pray that his soul is placed among the righteous in the hereafter,” Selangor PAS Dewan Ulama chief Nushi Mahfodz said in the online posting.

It was understood that Abd Rani died around 5am at Banting Hospital.
