I think LCH with regards to his letter Non-bumis doomed to repeat mistake of 69? has a point.

But does it mean that we must continue to live in fear and allow injustice to trample all over us? Moreover, I think the situation then and now is different and as a loyal citizen of this country, we need to right what is wrong with our votes. This is want democracy stands for.

The system is there for us to make a difference. Those who vote with their conscience are loyalists; they are loyal to the country. Those who sell their votes for monetary gains are traitors.

We have been manipulated for the past 30 years. During each election, the incident in 1969 is always used to put fear into us. I think enough is enough. We have been living in fear of slavery.

People of this nation are mature enough to make a difference and it's about time for us to move out from the shadow of 69. Don't just complain; face the test and put in your vote for what it stands for.

Make every vote counts not for yourself but for the future of your children. They may one day run this country for the better.

Please Opposition, make us proud and put your act together and don't disappoint us again. Pull yourselves together and stop bickering among yourselves. Your enemies are those causing injustice to the people you so seek to defend.
