Embattled Deputy Internal Security Minister Mohd Johari Baharum lost his usual composure today when he scurried into the wrong car while trying to avoid reporters.

After officiating a seminar in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan Johari apparently lost his cool when approached for comments on investigation into an alleged corruption case which implicated himself.

"What case? I don't know" said Johari, according to Bernama.

Johari promptly hopped into a waiting vehicle, only to come out of the vehicle later, and enter another car. The first car was apparently meant for his escorts.

Earlier, reporters were told to only ask questions pertaining to the seminar and nothing else.

Probe ongoing

Police began investigations against Johari last week over allegations that he had accepted up to RM5.5 million in bribes to free three Emergency Ordinance (EO) detainees held without trial.

The three detainees were said to be held in connection with triad and vice activities. One of the detainees was said to be the brother of another deputy minister.

Johari has since denied the allegations and welcomed the ongoing probe. The allegations appeared online on anonymous websites.

The deputy minister is also under probe from the ACA which had on Monday visited Johari's office in Putrajaya where several documents and files were taken for investigation.
