Sabah BN, GRS in talks over possible GE15 pact
"There is no final word yet. God willing, we will soon be able to (come to an understanding) on seat distribution (between the two coalitions).
Sabah BN and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) are in the midst of discussing an electoral pact between the two coalitions in the state for the upcoming 15th general election, according to state deputy BN chief Yakub Khan.
"There is no final word yet. God willing, we will soon be able to (come to an understanding) on seat distribution (between the two coalitions).
"We must come to a fair agreement... God willing, there will be cooperation. If not, BN is ready (to enter election) alone," he was quoted as saying by Astro Awani.
GRS comprises of Bersatu's Sabah chapter, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star), Sabah Progressive Party (Sapp) and United Sabah National Organisation (Usno).
Yakub’s comments indicate that Sabah is the only state where Umno is in talks with Bersatu over a pact.

Apart from Sabah, the Umno state chapters in Penang, Selangor and Kedah have also indicated that they are exploring a pact with other parties, especially PAS.
However, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had consistently maintained over the past few months that his party will not be cooperating with PAS.
