Sultan's young business partners

Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's penchant for young leaders appears to have extended to his business dealings.

Two of his partners in the RM99 billion Maharani Energy Gateway are two youths in their late 20s.

The two, both surnamed Ong, live in the same home as another Ong, who is involved in another sea reclamation project, the Melaka Gateway. Malaysiakini has the story.

Baling flood tragedy

A flood that began on Monday evening has devastated Baling, Kedah, displacing hundreds of people.

Three people from the same family were killed, including a pregnant woman and her mother-in-law. Their bodies were found hugging each other.

Villagers said it was the worst flood in living memory.

Syed Saddiq's 'hard-earned' money

A Bersatu Youth leader alleged in court that the former Youth wing chief of the party, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, had ordered him to withdraw RM1 million from the wing's bank account.

Ahmad Redzuan Mohamed Shafi claimed that Syed Saddiq said the money was the result of his hard work in finding donations and was "entitled" to use the money.

This happened after the Sheraton Move, but before the Muar MP was sacked from Bersatu.
