Bersatu loses another MP

Bersatu has lost another MP following Mohamaddin Ketapi’s departure today.

Mohamaddin told a press conference in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah that he decided to leave Bersatu because he was being sidelined.

He claimed he was not allowed to lead the party's Lahad Datu and Segama chapters as earlier promised.

Mohamaddin is both the Lahad Datu MP and Segama assemblyperson.

Prior to Bersatu, he was with Warisan but he quit the party in November last year.

According to Parliament's website, there are currently 32 MPs from Bersatu.

With Mohamaddin's departure, along with Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang) and Willie Mongin (Puncak Borneo), Bersatu will be left with 29 seats when the Dewan Rakyat reconvenes on July 18.
