Parti Keadilan Rakyat advisor Anwar Ibrahim gave a fiery speech last night in Kampung Sega, Raub, after the Barisan Alternative (BA) announced its decision to boycott the Batu Talam by-election.

Speaking to a large crowd who attended the BA ceramah, Anwar commended the boycott decision.

He condemned the rampant corruption in the ruling Umno, saying that during his tenure as the deputy prime minister until his sacking in 1998, he had received plenty of evidence on corruption by several Umno top leaders.

These, he said, were covered-up by the then Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Anwar also revealed his inside information on the alleged purchase of a RM30 million super-luxury yacht by premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Bodrum,Turkey.

Abdullah has denied the boat was his.
