Muda raises RM1m for Pahang flood victims

Muda in a statement said its volunteers will remain on the ground to assist victims in Pahang who were badly affected by flooding that inundated parts of the state, particularly Mentakab, Bentong and Karak.
"Alhamdulillah our #maribantu initiative has successfully raised RM1 million in four days.
"This is a continuation of our previous fundraiser and in total, RM2 million have been raised for flood victims," said Muda.
So far, Muda said its #maribantu initiative has helped more than 5,000 victims through post-flood clean-up efforts and other forms of direct assistance.
Muda had launched its donation and volunteer drive on Dec 18 in the aftermath of flooding in Selangor, before continuing to Pahang last week.
It was previously reported that it had raised the first RM1 million also in less than 100 hours.
"To ensure transparency on our part, periodic reports on the spendings will be published from time to time, along with making public an audited final report," said Muda.
Muda founder Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has been seen on the ground in Selangor and Pahang, coordinating volunteers and channelling all donations received.
