Display bus numbers at the back too
I refer to the letter Complaints can help Rapid KL improve.
I always use public transport for all my travel. I stay in OUG at Jalan Kelang Lama in Kuala Lumpur and commute daily to Jalan Ampang. I used to take two buses to reach my destination but now I have to take four buses to reach my office. I won't complain if Rapid KL's service is efficient, but sad to say it is atrocious.
Before they planned to revise the bus service, they should have at least ensured that the basic infrastructure such as good bus stands are available for the commuters. This is especially necessary during the rainy season.
Rapid KL should also ensure their bus route numbers are displayed on the back of the bus. This helps when you are rushing to catch the right bus from the back.
One common practice among some of the drivers is to turn off the route display board when they reach the last or second last bus station. This frequently happens at the Medan Pasar station.
Commuters waiting at these bus stops are not able to see the bus route numbers. The supervisors at the Medan Pasar bus stop, meanwhile, are not concerned at all in directing and informing commuters when the bus arrives.
I have also suggested earlier to Rapid KL to enable us commuters to buy bus monthly pass at all major bus stands but so far this has not been implemented.
