Speaker denies informing PM he has lost majority

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun has denied sending Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin a letter saying the latter had lost his majority, as was spread in a viral WhatsApp message.

"I deny the report and wish to state that I have not sent any letter to the prime minister as was reported. The news is fake news," he said in a brief statement.
