I refer to the letter Do donkeys eat bananas?

Well, monkeys eat bananas and I suppose donkeys can learn to eat them too over time! Enough is enough and I am referring to the rampant many monkeying around with taxpayers' and ratepayers' money on those study tour groups to look at toilets and belly-dancers and museums.

Have the toilets become cleaner after the visit? Have tourists flocked to our shores after seeing how foreign countries attract tourists with their belly-dancing? Has etiquette improved among government servants after the training session for Kuala Lumpur City Hall officials at a five-star hotel?

Was it not a waste conducting the training at a five-star hotel when a similar course could be held at a training school at a reduced cost? Then there was a city-status celebration of well over RM2 million in Petaling Jaya. Solve the many problems first. Why the rush to declare city-status? What has been achieved?

And what is the government doing to stop this extravaganza, this waste?

What about the drains? Are they being periodically cleaned up with all the garbage being thrown into them? Have the pot-holes been repaired? Has crime rates been reduced? Have rapes been reduced? Have snatch thefts been reduced?

These are important issues which affect ordinary citizens. Have the authorities looked into these aspects concerning the welfare of the people?
