I refer to your report 10,000 Muslims attend forum centred on apostasy.
It is good that 10,000 Muslims gathered at a forum organised by Muslim NGOs to discuss apostasy. It is not the number that attended this forum that is important. It is the quality and practicality of the discussions in this modern and contemporary world that is important.
We must view every issue in light of man becoming a rationale being. Religion should be seen as fostering love and understanding amongst all human beings. Religion should condemn all sins. Religion should uphold always righteousness for the sake of humanity.
If the forum's discussions are based on these foundations, than all will see the light of divinity in our efforts contain ill feelings between the different religions and races. Whatever our religion or faith, God is One. That One God is always watching us and we will pay the price for all our sins in the life hereafter.
We must always be rational in our interpretation of the scriptures that were given hundreds or thousands of years ago. Times have changed. People have changed. Our interpretation should match the modern times. Otherwise, the youth of today will be following a religion in name only.
Religions should be used only to unite the people and not divide them in this modern times of knowledge and wisdom. No religion should claim supremacy over other religions. Let rationale and righteousness prevail in this peaceful land of ours.
