I have been reading with interest your reports on VIPs and their unpaid traffic summonses . The reactions of all these politicians were as if nothing had happened. As long as they can afford the fines, everything is okay.

My concern is why were they committing traffic offences and why can't they comply with traffic rules? How can accident rates in Malaysia be reduced when ministers themselves are speeding?

Are they saying that as long as you have money, you can commit any traffic offence? This is 'cakap tak serupa bikin'.

The prime minister, cabinet ministers, chief ministers and state exco members are expected to show good leadership quality. Every year, the government spends millions of ringgit to educate everyone to be obedient and to follow all traffic rules and regulations.

To add salt to the wound, these leaders were given privilege to pay their hefty fines at a great discount. In actual fact, these leaders should be made to pay double what ordinary civilians pay.

Please stop all the traffic education campaign. We can at least save our national revenue if our own leaders fail to behave in the first place.
