Peace Malaysia has sent another medical team to Yogyakarta in aid of the quake victims, its coordinator Mukhriz Mahathir said.
Peace Malaysia has sent another medical team to Yogyakarta in aid of the quake victims, its coordinator Mukhriz Mahathir said.
He said in a statement, carried by Bernama, that the six-member team, including two specialists, left for Yogyakarta at 11 this morning under the coordination of the National Security Division (BKN), Prime Minister's Department.
"The medical team is bringing along medicines for treating trauma cases and surgical equipment worth RM30,000. It will also be helping to distribute RM600,000 worth of donations from Bakti which include food, fresh water, blanket and other basic necessities to the victims there."
He said the team would be stationed at Klinik Nur Hidayah in Bantul, besides assisting the Malaysian field hospital and helping them in their mobile clinic operations.
