Covid-19: Sabah tightens border

Sabah Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal (photo) said non-Sabahans who do not meet these requirements would be denied entry.
"The entry of anyone who is not from Sabah, via air, sea and land will not be allowed unless they obtain a special approval by the state government," said Shafie in a statement today.
This is by far the most stringent entry requirement set by any state in Malaysia.
Neighbouring Sarawak will require all arrivals, including Sarawakians, to go into self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.
According to the Health Ministry, there are 673 cases of Covid-19 infections nationwide as of today.
Sabah is ranked second in the number of confirmed cases, at 57, after the Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya region.
