PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution has been made Pakatan Harapan secretary-general.

It is learned the appointment was decided by Harapan top leaders during a meeting at Yayasan Al Bukhary in Kuala Lumpur today.

This was confirmed by Saifuddin when contacted by Malaysiakini.

"Yes. The decision was made earlier today during Harapan presidential council meeting.

"The meeting was chaired by Tun (Dr Mahathir Mohamad)," he said.

Saifuddin takes over the post which had been made vacant by Saifuddin Abdullah, who left PKR and joined Bersatu earlier this week.

Bersatu, earlier a part of Harapan coalition, had also quit Harapan to form a government with Umno, PAS, MCA, MIC and GPS.
