I refer to the article The half bridge of scandals .

I strongly support Dr Mahathir Mohamad's views on the half-bridge project and his daringness to put them across even at 82 years old.

My suggestions ar as follows:

  • Secure the Pasir Gudang port and its surrounding heavy industries and demolish the causeway immediately. Traffic should be diverted to the Tuas Second Link.

  • Build a bridge for both our KTM railway and Singapore Mass Rail Transit (MRT). This should be from Johor Baru to Kranji. The bridge will also support Singapore Public Utilities Board's water pipelines.

  • The RM4.4 billion saved from the petrol subsidy should be channeled to upgrade Johor's Tanjung Pelepas port to rival Singapore's Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, Brani and Pasir Panjang container terminals.

    • Believe me, by 2010, Singapore will automatically propose to build a new bridge even at their own cost. If not, they would sink into oblivion.
