Guan Eng denies discussing cabinet reshuffle with Dr M
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has denied there were discussions with the prime minister about a possible cabinet reshuffle.
He said there were regular meetings with Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, but the matter was never brought up.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has denied there were discussions with the prime minister about a possible cabinet reshuffle.
He said there were regular meetings with Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, but the matter was never brought up.
"I always meet with the PM, but the question of a reshuffle has not been raised. There was no discussion in the cabinet," said Lim in Butterworth today.
"We often discussed finance matters and national issues, but I cannot share the discussions as they are confidential.
"I do have my own opinion and the party has its own view about it, but it is best for us to discuss the matter in Pakatan Harapan," he added.
Lim was asked to comment regarding a possible cabinet reshuffle following Maszlee Malik's resignation as education minister on Thursday.
Lim was queried if he had discussed with Mahathir about a new cabinet lineup.
He was also asked if Mustapha Mohamad, a former minister in the previous BN-led government, would join the cabinet if there was indeed a reshuffle.
Lim replied: "I do not know who will be appointed.
"I'm not the prime minister. But I am confident it would be someone from Pakatan Harapan."
Lim also said the best person to talk about the cabinet would be Mahathir.
Mahathir has yet to announce Maszlee's replacement, but speculation is rife that it would be a person with "powerful connections".
It is also highly speculated that a cabinet reshuffle involving several ministers is in the pipeline.
