The cabinet will decide whether to make public the report prepared by the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP), says Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
As Wan Azizah told reporters at KL Sentral today, the matter has been discussed with the Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"I was made to understand a meeting (will be held) at the cabinet, and the cabinet will decide. And I have spoken with the prime minister," she told the press conference.
She also noted that some of the recommendations in the CEP report were not resolved and that there are other sensitive elements in the report that needs to be taken into consideration.
Wan Azizah was asked if the government would consider revealing the contents of the CEP report, which has been classified under the Official Secrets Act 1972.
Several Pakatan Harapan leaders, including Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali, as well as the CEP's own chairperson Daim Zainuddin and member Jomo Kwame Sundaram, have voiced their objections to the report being made a state secret.

Meanwhile, Wan Azizah appealed to the people to bear with the Pakatan Harapan despite their unhappiness with the ruling coalition.
"Give us (more time) and (a) chance. We have taken over a 60-year-old system," she said, adding that the ruling coalition faced constrains in resolving outstanding issues.
"I am a doctor myself, if I take over an operation and you find that the disease is far more than you expected, I (need) longer time to tackle and heal the patient," she said.
The Star today quoted Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) chairperson Daim Zainuddin as saying the feel-good factor enjoyed by Harapan after winning the 14th general election was fading as the government failed to deliver its promises, including reducing the cost of living.
Daim advised Harapan to understand why the people are angry and be open about their shortcomings.
