The All-Malaysian Indian Progressive Front (IPF) today lodged a report with the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) on the problems surrounding the Middle Ring Road Two (MRR2).

According to Bernama, the report lodged by the party's youth, wanita, putra and puteri wings was handed to Norbani Abdullah, the ACA officer at the information management and discipline centre.

The party's delegation to the ACA headquarters at Parcel D here was led by the Youth chief M. Sambanthan.

Among others, they want the authorities to give a detailed report on the MRR2 to determine if there were elements of irregularities in the project.

They also called on S Samy Vellu to step down as Works Minister as they claimed "too many problems have arose that endangered road users."

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi instructed the MRR2 flyover near Kepong to be closed on Feb 4 to facilitate repair work on a two kilometre stretch where cracks have appeared to be carried out immediately.

It is common knowledge that IPF president MG Panditham, a former MIC leader, and Samy, who helms MIC, do not see eye-to-eye.

Recently, following the proposed formation of a splinter party called MIC Baru, Pandithan had criticised Samy Vellu for throwing him out of MIC.

According to him, any faction that voices its protest in MIC will be accused of doing something detrimental to the party although their intentions are good.
