The draft of the Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for the coming state election is ready, Deputy Chief Minister and PBB deputy president Alfred Jabu said today.
A Bernama report quoted him as saying that the draft would be presented to Chief Minister and State BN chairperson Abdul Taib Mahmud for approval.
The State BN election manifesto committee headed by Jabu had its final meeting last month to finalise the draft. He said he would seek an appointment with Taib as soon as possible.
Commitment to development
After the chief minister gives his approval, it has to be endorsed by all the Sarawak BN component parties, Jabu said.
On the contents of the manifesto, the deputy chief minister said it would stress on the State BN's commitment to continue developing Sarawak.
The five-year mandate of the 62-seat state legislative assembly will expire at the end of the year. The new assembly will have 71 members.
