I am writing this letter so that others can understand my feelings of discontent and anguish over the incident where 11 innocent senior citizens were shaven bald by the police for playing mahjong.

Mahjong for the Chinese during the New Year is a cultural game. No money was involved when police raided the place where the 11 were playing. The police were so highhanded and ignorant of the UN Human Rights Charter that they could shave the heads of these 11 just like that.

Hair is a personal thing and must be respected. The police only can shave the heads of hardcore criminals. What is the jurisdiction for the arrest of these 11 people?

I hope the prime minister will immediately straighten out all these problems arising from the enforcement of the law. The whole world is watching the performance of our police force. There is not an ounce of understanding and compassion from them when dealing with cases like this.
