Seventeen-year-old Kisyen Kumar helps out in his uncle's junkyard along Jalan Sungai Lalang in Semenyih.

Subramaniam Gopal has been hawking scrap metal, car parts, tyre rims, used electrical goods and antiques in his yard for 16 years.

The used goods in his junkyard are sold for as low as 10 sen, and as high as RM2,000, depending on the quality of the item on sale.
