'RM90m for PAS' probe: MACC records Ambiga's statement

      Hariz MohdPublished: Feb 8, 2019 11:09 AM | Updated: Feb 8, 2019 11:27 AM

MACC has recorded former Bersih chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan's statement over the allegation that PAS received RM90 million from Umno during the leadership of former premier Najib Abdul Razak.

A source familiar with the investigation told Malaysiakini that Ambiga was questioned over the issue yesterday. However, it is unclear where her statement was recorded.

“Ambiga's statement has been recorded to verify the allegation by (Sarawak Report editor) Clare (Rewcastle-Brown),” added the source, declining to elaborate.

Common sense will tell you that if the Sarawak Report article is still available, there must be an iota of truth in it. Ambiga cannot be the sole source for the article. I am sure Sarawak Report would have independently checked and verified it. The MACC must also question Sarawak Report on the article.
