The new measures announced by the Penang government to overcome the issue of overhang in the state's housing sector appear to benefit developers rather than people who need homes, said a Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) leader.
PSM central committee member Choo Chon Kai said Penang state executive councillor Jagdeep Singh Deo had failed to understand that the root problem was the price of “so-called” affordable housing...
Choo Chon Kai says state exco failed to acknowledge unaffordable prices as the root problem.

be pragmatic and factual..dont ancting as dap mindset...argue professioanally
what do we expect from developer action party(DAP) and false propaganda to create fear that " if you are able to buy you won't be able buy in future" it's a bullshit. after 2008 a lot of people thought Penang going to be singapore or hongkong but penang but it's not true , everywhere traffic jam, land slide and flash flood and other issues. DAP is pro developer not people centric housing, they should from PAP their splinter party which has good HDB flat.
Cannot afford means cannot afford. Raising the ceiling so that they now suddenly can afford? It is like setting a credit trap and ask those poor guys to jump into it. Please...have a heart !
