OK OK OK Dr. you have given insight into the minds of people in the heartlands-- RR, feudal mindset..all combined for the BN victory. Your term "moral economy" is a challenging concept. What's so moral is accepting thievery ? unless the thief has spread his loot to the community. Robin Hood? Here it was in daylight, no Hood. Some in CH were reported to have said that this type of thievery is OK at the top and understandable. So what does that say about morality taught by all religions? Say and pontificate what you may Dr. this will be a herculean challenge for PH to uplift all of Malaysia --upland, low land, heartland, coastland. The inequities are just insurmountable. What's your considered set of solutions Dr.? Perhaps local think tanks can help you on this?
