Find it strange why 'sources' always seems to leak news to Singapore Straits Times. Our spy agencies should work on this source !...
I think LGE is pissed with Azmin for making the announcement much earlier than him and took all the media attention. ECRL project has drawn worldwide attention due to its link with Najib and 1MDB scandal. That's why LGE clarified he was referring to the timing of Azmin's revelation which shocked him. It could also mean that termination is imminent but uncertain at this juncture as it depends on the outcome of the negotiation with the Chinese on new terms.
LGE seems to have backtracked from his initial statement.Must have been offended that statement was made by Azmin. Circumstances would later indicate that Azmin's version is correct.Should be clear to DAP now that important financial portfolios are still going to be in the hands of Malays who are still guided by the "old mentality".If Malaysia is to move forward, such financial portfolios must be transparent and policy decisions must be made by cabinet.
