Did the EC similarly lodge a police report because Najib and Hadi balantantly and openly used the race and religion of the candidates as campaigning material ? Is there not a single police report ? Smacks of docuble standard. EC Chairman do the right thing. Dont turn a blind eye.

      SHAFWAN07:29 AM, 28 Jan 2019

He's already lost so what's the point in victimising him and wasting police resources as well as abusing court process? Does the EC and Bersih have nothing better to do? Can't they accept that it was just an honest mistake and move on? Even if it wasn't an honest mistake, so what? He didn't gain anything by it.

      Jie Hashim06:32 AM, 28 Jan 2019

What an idiot Manogaran is!  If he does not under and follow simple instructions, he is definitely not the type of representative that we are voting for! Imagine if he wins and get disqualified by the EC, it will be the laughing stock of the government.

      Lui Voon Seong09:23 PM, 28 Jan 2019

No matter what PAS and UMNO did. Is is good for the DAP candidate to be charged as a matter of principle. There is evidence so let the law take its course.

      Tanker Master07:55 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Sudah jatuh, ditimpa tangga. Perhaps Manogaran can console himself that he lost so he wont be disqualified because of his 'mistake'. The EC is applying the law strictly in this case and Manogaran has only himself to blame for getting into this legal trouble.

      Dr David Ting07:32 PM, 28 Jan 2019

So you are going to send this guy to jail for wearing the wrong shirt! Would the EC act in a similar fashion if this blunder is committed by a Malay especially UMNO candidate? What about the thief and all those monkeys from UMNO and PAS who were out there openly using race and religion to campaign which could have potentially caused a racial riot! It looks like the government and its institutions are only concerned about crimes committed by non Malays and are so scared to touch anything to do with the Malays.

      Ong CY06:38 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Oh stupid EC and Bersih, what about scumno and Pus making false and slanderous accusations about DAP anti Malays and anti Islam stance, why not you all took action against BN. Now PH candidate already lost  and why are you behaving so stupid and absurd?

      Azwan Baharuddin06:34 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Loose more votes next election...living in ĺala land. Does the EC know the biggest thief in the world openly campaigned for BN...right or wrong ? ...whats that ?.Not in the book ? When was the book written ? 1954 ? ....this is worse then la la land....

      TAN JEE CHIN06:07 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Yes, do that. The law applies to everybody. DAP as a party also need to make a stand if it is principled enough.

      Chow Chee Yut05:26 PM, 28 Jan 2019

The wearing of the party logo bearing shirt on polling day breached the election rule. Period. It has to be dealt with the necessary law. EC has to be credible and seen to be so too. There is no two ways about it. Other things are irrelevant to this argument. Two wrongs do not make a right. More importantly it is for the sake of future elections that election rules must be complied with.

      Ada Yang03:45 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Rules are rules. You excuse one, you will have to excuse another. And another, and another. It won't end.

      azmeel02:31 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Dia sudah kalah lah Bro. Biar lah. Perkara pun sudah berlalu. Maafkan lah dia.....

      Batrishia Daruis02:16 PM, 28 Jan 2019

This issue is similar with the T cross lighting in Penang condo! Voters won't be swayed by such Pakatan logo likewise Muslims won't be vulnerable on their religious belief with a cross light!!! Focus on bigger issues Bersih & EC eg lucky draw to attracts crowds! Free makan & drinks limited to RM5 per pax should be allowed for ceramah!

      Narendran Permalu01:53 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Now monogaran can wear it daily

Iswardy Tan bin Abdullah01:34 PM, 28 Jan 2019

If the law was breached, it is an offence. The explanation/severity is something to be argued in mitigation during sentencing. The most powerful mitigation is acceptance of the breach of law and “throw oneself at the mercy of the court”

      Hew Kuan Yau01:32 PM, 28 Jan 2019

It's a minor misdemeanour at best.... Just caution him end of Story..... Wen the power supply goes out during counting of tickets that's wat I call a real umno scam

Alvin Soo Chon Yan01:08 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Manogaran is a seasoned election candidate. He should not claimed ignorance and came out with lame excuse of too rush!

      Sathia Seelan Subramaniam01:05 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Am glad Azahar is taking this offence seriously. Imagine had Manogaran won the by-election and after that convicted of an election offence of wearing party logo at polling station there would have to be another by-election. Utter wastage of public funds. Since Mano caused the by-election he must be equally responsible for all his wrongful criminal action. He must be thought a proper and painful lesson. He must be made to pay for this wasteful by-election. Please remember Azahar, Malaysians are watching you and your credibility will depend on whether Mano is charged or not in court. Please don’t hide behind the skirts of your legal advice coz the whole world saw Mano committing this offence. It’s all very well recorded and evidenced. If you can’t even get Mano prosecuted for an open and shut electoral offence than you might as well throw away all your Election laws and resign. You don’t need rocket science to tell you that Mano has committed a serious election offence. Since he caused the by-election he must now serve 5 years jail time for wasting millions in public funds.

      Delta Charlie12:49 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Lucky Manogaran loss the election, we can't have a MP who openly break the law and not aware of it.

      Lim12:44 PM, 28 Jan 2019

Go ahead and do it. Manogaran is guilty & so are BN PAS people who canvassed for votes using racist tactics. No double standards, ok, EC? RULES ARE RULES.
