4 years since the discovery, still cannot bring the pepetrators to justice. A lot of physical evidence would have been lost by then.So pathetic. Cakap banyak in the office, kerja di abaikan. Celaka.

Better late than never. Let's hope the RCI will uncover the facts of the case and bring the culprits to justice!!

Enough of setting up RCI but after that no action taken. Wasting money and time.

Good to finally do justice to the many who died there.

FYI Malaysia is a major hub of human traficking. Back before the Rohingya became a crisis, many of the trafficked (and enslaved humans) in these camps were Rohingyas. NB: By the 1990s Indonesians mainly came by sea while Thais were not liable to be trafficked into M'sia as their consttuction industry was booming. On the Malaysian side, the "snake heads" reaches to the highest ranks. The (trade-in-human) industry was HUGE and has a huge lobby of vested interest, political and administrstive. And make no mistake, this "human-trafficking-complex" are controlled mainly by Malay Muslims (refer preceding). For years (the late) Irene Fernandez was exposing the inhumanity of the trafficking industry and for her troubles she was persecuted and jailed. Suddenly when the Myanmar Rohingya crisis exploded, Rohingya refugees suddenly received super sympathy -- the sheer hypocrysy of it. As commentators noted, after 3 years without any political will, evidence, instead of being preserved are destroyed. In likelihood, an RCI will find nothing worthwhile, given the enduring blue-wall-of-silence, complicity of high officials and destroyed evidence...

A Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) is a colossal waste of money and other resources. The findings and report will collect dust and be forgotten . An RCI has no powers . What has been the impact of all the RCIs that have been held ?   Provide resources to the NGOs who have been fighting human trafficking  , support victims of human trafficking through legitimate NGOs who provide shelter etc for victims , support doctors to encourage more of them to be involved in the care of victims of trafficking,    Fight corruption throughout the chain of human trafficking.

Where as on d Thai side once this shocking news of mass graves was exposed, d govt swung into action immediately. If I cld remember correctly, a mayor in a border town, few very senior military n police officers etc were relieved off there positions, ranks n pulled to bangkok for further action . On our side!!!  The TYPICAL "nothing wrong" melodrama as usual!!  It's just d tenacious grit of some courageous press reporters who exposed d shocking mass graves!! What a shame!! Corruption3 every where! And d govt then just tried white wash it.  Hopefully no more under pH.

The police had destroyed the sites days after its discovery instead of protecting the evidence on the sites. The parties involved in, ordered destroying sites are key suspects. The human trafficking cases, together with drugs, terrorists, trafficking, MH17, MH370, amply show that Malaysia national security is very wobbly.
